Who you are

You have a strong background in project management, particularly in engineering or operations, with a focus on delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Your experience includes working with automation technologies such as conveyance, sortation, and robotics, which are critical for modern fulfillment centers. You understand the importance of safety in project execution and are adept at making necessary interventions to ensure a safe working environment. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively interface with both internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors and consultants. Your ability to forecast risks and provide accurate updates is essential for maintaining project momentum and stakeholder confidence. You are detail-oriented and committed to cost-saving measures while ensuring quality and optimum performance in all aspects of your work.

Desirable

Experience in the logistics or e-commerce sector is a plus, as is familiarity with budget management and scheduling for large-scale projects. A background in engineering or a related field will enhance your ability to understand the technical aspects of the projects you manage. You are comfortable with travel and working regionally, as this role may require you to visit various fulfillment centers across EMEA.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and delivering state-of-the-art material handling systems and technology innovations for Amazon Fulfillment Centers. You will lead projects from the early design stages through to commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance teams. Your role will involve collaborating with various internal functional teams, including Worldwide Design Engineering, RME, PMO, Central Planning, Construction, IT, and Launch, to ensure that all aspects of the project align with Amazon's operational goals. You will also engage with external stakeholders to coordinate project requirements and timelines. Your focus will be on delivering projects that enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall customer experience. You will be expected to provide regular updates on project status, manage budgets, and forecast potential risks to ensure successful project delivery.
