Job Description

Amazon North America Stores (NAS) Design organization is seeking our next L6 Manager III, UX Design. Our team is dedicated to being the beacon of design excellence within the highly visual, emotive, and impassioned space where shopping and cutting-edge technology meet. We need your experience, optimism, and energy to build simple, fluid, and beautiful experiences that accommodate Amazon’s growing and diverse product selection (e.g. household basics, beauty, fashion, home and lifestyle, pets, automotive, electronics, and more), and give customers everything they need to make confident buying decisions while delighting them along the way. A L6 Manager III, UX Design role on our team offers the opportunity to lead the design of innovative retail and platform shopping experiences across multiple big, exciting and diverse programs worldwide.

Key job responsibilities
- You seek new ways to raise the CX bar with your team and org
- You deliver high quality customer experiences that scale and deliver business impact
- You effectively hire, manage performance, and coach members of your team
- You have developed mechanisms to manage your forward looking slate, conduct growth plan meetings, and effectively promote your team members
- You lead with human-centered design methods or processes that consider stakeholder and partner teams
- You delegate appropriately to optimize performance against team goals and employee development
- You foster innovation and a culture for taking strategic risk
- You create an environment that prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusion and creates a culture of empathy where individuals can be their authentic and best self
- When confronted with divergent views, you find the best way forward through building alignment, and use judgment to manage escalations and mitigate long-term risks

- 3+ years of leading design teams experience
- Experience managing teams
- Experience leading design teams in problem definition, artifact rendering, cross-functional collaboration and delivery, and user validation and measurement- Experience working cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing
- Bachelors Degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
