Bird is hiring a Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair their electric fleet. You'll work hands-on with scooters and electric bikes, ensuring they are in peak condition. This role requires mechanical skills and a positive attitude.
You are a hands-on, motivated individual with mechanical skills or a quick-learning mindset. You are comfortable using hand tools and smartphone apps, and you possess strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. You can lift 40 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours, and you have weekend availability with a positive attitude. Prior experience in maintenance, logistics, or warehousing is a bonus, and mechanics, apprentices, or students are encouraged to apply.
In this role, you will diagnose and repair scooters and electric bikes, handling everything from quick fixes to full refurbishments. You will keep the warehouse efficient by moving scooters and managing inventory, collaborating with your team to communicate learnings and roadblocks. You will lead by example, staying organized, safe, and positive in a fast-paced environment.
