Overview

HelloFresh is seeking an Operational Buyer to support the Procurement team in Edmonton. You'll manage procurement operations, forecast demand, and improve supply chain processes. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Job Description

Who you are

You are an analytical problem-solver with a hands-on, 'whatever-it-takes' mindset who thrives in detail, organization, and analysis. You have a passion for food and are eager to contribute to building and managing a supply network. With a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, or another relevant major, you are ready to take on responsibility from day one and use your initiative and creativity to help grow the business across Canada.

You possess strong organizational skills and are detail-oriented, ensuring that you deliver measurable results in your work. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to continuous improvement in supply chain processes. You understand the importance of compliance with OH&S acts and regulations and are proactive in reporting workplace hazards and dangers.

Desirable

Experience in procurement or supply chain management would be beneficial, as well as familiarity with food ingredients and their sourcing. A background in data analysis or inventory management could also enhance your ability to succeed in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive weekly procurement operations, ensuring the on-time, in-full, and in-quality delivery of ingredients. You will forecast demand requirements, manage inventory, and track the consumption of incoming materials. You will be responsible for managing weekly spending to ensure the team stays within budget, and you will hold suppliers accountable for credits owed. Problem-solving will be a key part of your responsibilities as you work cross-functionally to address issues in the supply chain and come up with effective solutions.

You will continuously improve supply chain processes, including forecasting, ordering, and onboarding new ingredients and suppliers. Measuring the performance of ingredient suppliers and identifying opportunities to improve KPIs will also be part of your duties. You will work closely with the Procurement team and report directly to the Manager, Purchasing, contributing to the overall success of HelloFresh's operations in Canada.

What we offer

HelloFresh offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 CAD, along with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company. You will be part of a dynamic team that values creativity and initiative, and you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the supply chain processes that support our mission of delivering fresh ingredients to our customers. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
