SpaceX is hiring a Civil Engineer for Land Development to design and manage infrastructure projects for the Starship Launch Engineering team. You'll work with AutoCAD and collaborate with elite engineers to enable orbital launch capabilities. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least 1 year of experience.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline and have at least 1 year of experience in land development projects. You possess strong technical skills in AutoCAD and are familiar with grading, drainage, and stormwater control facilities. Your ability to manage civil aspects of construction projects in the field, including quality control and conflict resolution, sets you apart. You are comfortable interacting with contractors, fabricators, and internal clients to develop project requirements and schedules. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are adept at coordinating with multi-discipline teams to achieve project goals.
As a Civil Engineer on the Starship Launch Engineering team, you will develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for various land development projects. You will perform all necessary calculations for grading and drainage, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your role will involve driving coordination and design efforts to obtain the required permits for utility construction projects. You will manage the civil aspects of construction projects in the field, ensuring quality control and resolving conflicts in real time. Additionally, you will interact with various stakeholders to define project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates prior to implementation.
