Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support AWS infrastructure by monitoring and maintaining data center operations. You'll work with AWS technologies and ensure the reliability of critical systems in Umatilla, Oregon.

In this role, you will perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from various electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. You will assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events, ensuring that all operations meet internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). Your responsibilities will include performing rack installations and decommissioning, as well as conducting preventive maintenance and root cause analysis on electrical and mechanical equipment. You will also be involved in technical writing to support the change management program, documenting processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Your role is crucial in maintaining the reliability and availability of AWS data centers, contributing to the seamless delivery of cloud services to customers.
