With the advent of genomic sequencing, we can finally decode and process our genetic makeup. We now have more data than ever before but providers don't have the infrastructure or expertise to make sense of this data. We're on a mission to connect an entire ecosystem to redefine how genomic data is used in clinical settings. We are looking for a Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing day to day management of the Lab Operations Associate Team.
What You’ll Do
● Oversee day to day operations of the Lab Operations Associate Team.
● Ensure adequate staffing daily to assist lab teams.
● Manage sample movement, storage, disposal and tracking
● Serve as subject matter expert of Path Lab Asset Tracker system.
● Ensure adequate sample storage is available for all samples.
● Maintain organization of freezer sample organization.
● Expert user of tube handler and tube picker systems.
● Update lab floor plans as necessary.
● Assist with the clean up of trash and debris from the lab space, including biohazardous and chemical hazardous waste.
● Oversee Lab Operations Associate duties are complete such as biohazard waste disposal, chemical waste disposal and lab decontamination.
● Liaise with vendors such as waste management, and building engineers.
● Identify and document occurrences that deviate from defined procedures.
● Develop and maintain path lab processes and workflows as needed by the lab.
● Maintain competencies in all lab operation associate tasks.
Required Knowledge and Skills
● High School degree or equivalent required
● Highly organized and systematic, superb attention to detail and ability to
complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
● Demonstrated problem resolution and decision-making skills for operational and technical problems.
● Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new processes smoothly.
● Proven ability to communicate well across teams and functions.
The expected salary range below is applicable if the role is performed from [Illinois] and may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits, depending on the position.
