Databricks is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join their Professional Services team in Mumbai. You'll guide customers through data and AI transformation initiatives using the Databricks platform, leveraging your expertise in big data technologies. This role requires 10+ years of experience with technologies like Apache Spark and Kafka.
You have over 10 years of experience with Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark™, Kafka, and Data Lakes, particularly in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role. Your background includes at least 4 years as a Solution Architect, where you've created designs and solved complex Big Data challenges for customers. You possess deep expertise in Apache Spark, distributed computing, and the Databricks platform capabilities, and you are comfortable writing code in Python, PySpark, and Scala. Your exceptional SQL, Spark SQL, and Spark-streaming skills set you apart, along with your advanced knowledge of Spark optimizations, Delta, and Databricks Lakehouse Platforms. You also have expertise in Azure and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, and HBase, as well as data governance and security practices such as Unity Catalog and RBAC. Your ability to work with Partner Organizations and deliver complex programs is complemented by your leadership skills in managing large technical delivery teams. You understand the competitive landscape, including EMR, Snowflake, and Sagemaker, and have experience with migration from On-prem / Cloud to Databricks, which is a plus. Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills are essential, as is your ability to simplify complex technical concepts. You are willing to travel for onsite customer engagements within India.
