Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with 8 years of experience in software development using programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, and JavaScript. Your background includes experience in a management, engineering, and technology strategy role, allowing you to influence project trajectories through big-picture thinking. You excel at identifying systemic pain points and architecting scalable solutions that drive cross-functional adoption to ensure customer success.

As a Technical Lead, you possess the technical expertise to take on and provide leadership to major projects while managing a team of engineers. You understand the importance of optimizing not only your own code but also ensuring that your team members can optimize theirs effectively. Your experience spans various technologies, and you are comfortable working on a variety of different projects or specializing in areas that suit your interests.

You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at guiding teams across multiple locations. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders ensures that project goals are met and that your team is aligned with the broader product strategy. You are passionate about data integrity and understand the critical role it plays in enhancing system reliability and performance.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale system design, distributed computing, and artificial intelligence is a plus. Familiarity with natural language processing and networking can further enhance your contributions to the team. You are open to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies as they emerge, ensuring that you and your team remain at the forefront of industry advancements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of engineers focused on data integrity, ensuring that systems can manage, modify, and recover data efficiently. You will contribute to a platform that unifies and integrates existing data integrity products, simplifying data management and response to incidents. Your responsibilities will include setting project goals, contributing to product strategy, and mentoring your team to foster their professional growth.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address systemic issues, architecting solutions that enhance the overall performance and reliability of Google's systems. Your leadership will guide the team in optimizing their workflows and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process. You will also be involved in defining success metrics for your projects and tracking progress against these goals.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with various stakeholders across the organization to align on project objectives and deliverables. You will facilitate discussions that drive innovation and ensure that your team's work contributes meaningfully to Google's mission. Your ability to influence and inspire will be crucial in navigating complex challenges and achieving project success.

What we offer
