DoorDash is seeking a Regional Merchant Lead to drive partnerships with local and regional restaurants. You'll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and a focus on revenue growth.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in building relationships with local businesses. Your experience in outside sales has equipped you with the skills to prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close deals effectively. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team. You understand the importance of local partnerships and are passionate about helping businesses grow through innovative solutions.
Experience in the food delivery or restaurant industry is a plus, as is familiarity with sales metrics and performance tracking. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of a field sales role, including travel and in-person meetings with clients. A background in business development or account management will enhance your ability to succeed in this position.
As a Regional Merchant Lead, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from identifying potential restaurant partners to closing deals that benefit both DoorDash and the merchants. You will spend a significant portion of your time in the field, meeting with restaurant owners and presenting DoorDash’s offerings. Your role will involve negotiating revenue share agreements and selling multi-product solutions tailored to the needs of each merchant. You will also work closely with the Outside Sales team to develop strategies that drive growth and improve operational efficiency.
In addition to direct sales activities, you will participate in training sessions and team-building events to foster collaboration and share best practices with your colleagues. Your ability to build strong relationships with local merchants will be key to your success, as you will act as the face of DoorDash in your assigned market. You will also be expected to provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on your interactions with merchants, helping to shape future offerings and strategies.
