Desirable

Experience working with the Department of Defense or in a regulated industry is a plus. Familiarity with aerospace standards and practices will help you navigate the complexities of transitioning from experimental to production builds. You are comfortable with data analysis and using metrics to drive quality improvements. A background in project management will enable you to oversee quality initiatives effectively and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will establish, implement, and enforce quality systems that meet Department of Defense standards for production aircraft. You will lead a small team of quality-focused employees, guiding them in their efforts to improve processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be crucial as you navigate the transition from experimental X-plane development to prototype and production builds. You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance reliability and efficiency. Your focus will be on making quality an accelerator for production rather than a barrier, ensuring that the organization can maintain its high-performance standards.

You will also be responsible for developing training programs for your team and other stakeholders to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization. Regular audits and assessments will be part of your responsibilities to ensure that quality systems are functioning as intended and to identify opportunities for further enhancement. You will collaborate with program leadership to align quality initiatives with project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that quality remains a priority at every stage of production.
