Software Development Engineer II, Recipient Experience

Recipient Experience (REX) - Our mission is to deliver reliable and innovative solutions that allows the business to optimize targeting and sending post order transactional notifications WW and enables end-customers to receive timely order updates and prompts to take action when needed. We strive to create technology and system that is user-friendly, efficient, SLA driven and serves as a central platform for multiple businesses to manage their transactional notifications. We are looking for software engineers with a penchant for solving complex problems. They will get to work on a generating solutions, and hence will need to be able to make progress against ambiguous requirements with self-initiative, and customer focus. These engineers drive best practices, mentor other engineers and drive continuous improvements in engineering excellence. We are looking for someone who has an established background delivering highly distributed systems at scale, design patterns like SDKs, libraries, versioning, and a strong operational track record while working with multiple teams.


Key job responsibilities
You're a seasoned engineer with rich experience in designing, developing, and supporting multiple software intensive systems. You will be successful if you:

3) Are comfortable working with data structures as much as discussing software development processes with your peers
4) Get inspired by collecting product and system metrics, and by proposing improvements
5) Persevere when troubleshooting build, deployment or live issues
6) Take code review feedback gracefully and provide your feedback with abundance
7) Love to see your code deployed, and want to see it happening more often

A day in the life
1) Collaborating with project teams across various themes like core platform development, software compliance, and financial optimization.
2) Engaging in technical discussions and brainstorming sessions to devise software strategies.
3) Active participation in our development sprints, reviewing code, and ensuring the implementation of best practices.
4) Interacting with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and translating them into technical solutions.
5) Mentoring team members (SDE1), providing guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
6) Regularly reviewing and optimising existing systems and processes for better efficiency and performance.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
