As a MAIT Additive Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of 3D printing production for the Nyx vehicles. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating metal additive manufacturing systems, specifically laser powder bed fusion, where you will manage tasks such as powder loading, calibration, and part removal. You will monitor the build and machine status, identifying any anomalies and escalating issues as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Maintaining meticulous documentation throughout production runs will be essential, as you will ensure traceability and compliance with quality protocols. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all equipment and tools are well-maintained and calibrated. Additionally, you will assist with machine maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as perform post-processing tasks such as support removal, bead blasting, and surface finishing. Your role will involve coordinating with service providers for heat treatment and other processes, contributing to the overall success of the additive manufacturing team.
