Flex is hiring a Senior Product Designer to shape the future of financial access for consumers. You'll collaborate closely with the platform team to drive the evolution of the Ultraviolet design system. This role requires expertise in design systems and a strong understanding of user experience.
You have 5+ years of experience in product design, particularly in creating and implementing design systems that enhance user experience. Your expertise in Figma allows you to maintain accurate and intuitive design libraries that align with engineering components. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to create meaningful user experiences. You are passionate about improving financial access for underserved consumers and have a strong understanding of the challenges they face. You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for design consistency and usability across platforms. You enjoy leading initiatives from discovery through delivery, ensuring that design solutions are scalable and effective.
Experience in FinTech or similar industries is a plus, as is familiarity with Storybook or similar component libraries. You have a strong portfolio showcasing your design work and the impact it has had on user engagement and satisfaction. You are comfortable with data-driven decision-making and can leverage analytics to inform your design choices.
As a Senior Product Designer at Flex, you will lead the design efforts for the Ultraviolet design system, ensuring it meets the needs of both users and the engineering team. You will define the long-term vision for the design system, identifying opportunities for improvement and creating scalable solutions that enhance product quality. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure tight alignment between design and engineering, keeping Figma libraries accurate and fully synced with Storybook components. You will conduct user research to gather insights that inform design decisions and help shape the user experience. You will also mentor junior designers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. Your work will directly contribute to improving the financial lives of renters by creating seamless and intuitive experiences.
