Apple is seeking a Cellular IP Design Engineer to develop customized hardware IPs for digital signal processing. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure optimal performance in Apple devices. This role requires experience in ASIC or FPGA designs and knowledge of signal processing principles.
You have experience crafting low-power customized hardware for digital signal processing — your understanding of signal processing principles allows you to create efficient designs that meet stringent performance requirements. You possess abstract modeling skills for synthesis and simulation using modern modeling languages like Verilog and System Verilog, which are essential for your role in IP design. Your hands-on experience spans multiple sophisticated ASIC or FPGA designs, guiding projects from concept to productization. You are well-versed in digital logic design, enabling you to contribute effectively to the development of cellular transceiver systems on chip (SoCs).
You have a collaborative mindset, working closely with SoC architects, system engineers, and design verification teams. Your ability to communicate effectively with specialists in STA, DFT, and power optimization enhances your contributions to the project lifecycle. You thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, where your technical skills are complemented by your teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
As a Cellular IP Design Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for developing and integrating highly customized hardware IPs for digital signal processing. Your role will involve defining and driving the implementation of these IPs, ensuring they meet power, performance, and area goals. You will work closely with a diverse group of professionals, including system, digital, analog, and firmware designers, to ensure seamless integration and verification of the IPs you develop. Your responsibilities will cover the entire project lifecycle, from concept through design and verification to silicon validation and in-field operation.
You will engage in timing closure and power optimizations, collaborating with various teams to achieve the best results. Your work will not only focus on design but also on the end-to-end responsibility for the IPs developed, ensuring they function effectively in real-world applications. You will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies, leveraging your expertise to enhance the overall quality of the products.
At Apple, you will be part of a team that values diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment where everyone can contribute their unique perspectives. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that impacts millions of users worldwide. Apple offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with a culture that encourages innovation and collaboration. You will be supported in your professional growth, with opportunities to expand your skills and advance your career within the company.
