DoorDash is seeking an Account Executive for their New Verticals team to drive business development and partnerships with local merchants. You'll manage the full sales cycle and engage in both inside and field sales activities. This role requires strong sales skills and the ability to build relationships.
You have a proven track record in sales, ideally with experience in business development or account management. You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing inside sales with field-based activities. Your ability to creatively engage prospects and close deals is complemented by your strong communication skills. You are comfortable with travel and in-person meetings, understanding the importance of building relationships with local merchants. You are adaptable and ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. You are motivated by results and have a passion for local commerce, eager to contribute to the growth of DoorDash's product offerings.
As an Account Executive on the New Verticals team, you will be responsible for identifying and signing local and regional small- and mid-sized merchants onto the DoorDash platform. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Your day will involve high-volume outreach, engaging with prospects creatively, and driving deals forward. You will also step into the field to meet merchants face-to-face, building relationships and finalizing partnerships. Collaboration with your team will be key, as you will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with other team members to achieve sales goals. You will have opportunities for career development as the team continues to grow, and you will be expected to remain flexible with a mix of in-office and remote work.
