Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager for our Advertising Identity program in Palo Alto, CA. Amazon's Ad Tech business builds highly scalable infrastructure and tooling that handles billions of advertising queries every day and provides the foundation for Amazon’s rapidly growing advertising business.

As part of Ad Tech, the Advertising Identity program powers intelligent ad buying by developing the underlying id spine for programmatic advertising. Our products help optimize performance and deliver personalized experiences in an ever-evolving privacy landscape, delivering ads when customers are listening to a podcast during their morning commute, shopping on the Amazon Store, or watching a movie on Prime Video. We enable a suite of ads products, from planning, audience onboarding and delivery, reach and frequency forecasting, to data collaboration and measurement.

As a senior technology program owner you will leverage your understanding of digital advertising / marketing to deliver complex cross-functional technology initiatives. You will define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, manage risks, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation. You will deeply understand our products and underlying tech, its limitations, and scaling factors. You will guide teams to prioritize not just what’s urgent but what’s most important to create a better advertiser and end customer experience.

What you will do on a day-to-day basis:

* Manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional initiatives that span many teams, including business, engineering, science, legal, privacy, and policy teams.
* Serve as technical liaison for our engineering & science teams. Translate customer’s business requirements into technical specifications.
* Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure we build scalable solutions that meet customer needs.
* Steer teams to work on not just what’s urgent, but what’s most important. Recommend alternative technical approaches to hit tight timelines and de-risk the critical path.

By joining Advertising Identity, you will experience the benefits of working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment while leveraging the resources of Amazon.com (AMZN), one of the world’s leading Internet companies.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in AdTech/MarTech- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Familiarity with regional and state privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
