You have at least 2 years of experience in employee and performance management, demonstrating your ability to lead teams effectively. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or you have gained valuable experience working at Amazon. You are flexible with your schedule, willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Your proficiency in Excel allows you to navigate basic functions and perform necessary calculations. You are fluent in Japanese, enabling you to communicate effectively with your team and stakeholders. Additionally, you have over a year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques, showcasing your commitment to operational excellence.
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for planning and managing shipping operations to ensure that a vast array of products is delivered efficiently. You will develop strategies for sorting and dispatching incoming items, determining how and when to allocate resources for optimal delivery routes. Collaborating closely with the Senior Area Manager, you will ensure that operations run smoothly and that all tasks are executed without delays. You will also oversee the management of staff responsible for sorting, dispatching, and delivering products, coordinating shifts and monitoring progress to maintain workflow efficiency. Regularly, you will engage in discussions about operational improvements, identifying issues within workflows and environments, and proposing actionable solutions to enhance safety, quality, and productivity. Your role will involve continuous communication with your team and other departments to ensure alignment and success in achieving operational goals.
