SpaceX is hiring a Fabrication Technician to provide ground support equipment technician support, including building and maintaining equipment related to liquid oxygen and fuel systems. This role requires industrial experience and knowledge of high-pressure systems.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of industrial experience, particularly in installing pipes and maintaining equipment. You are familiar with high-pressure systems and have a solid understanding of fabrication processes. Your experience includes troubleshooting and repairing various types of equipment, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining clean and inspected materials according to Clean for Oxygen Service Standards. You possess the ability to collaborate effectively with design engineers to document and develop ground support equipment activities. You are proactive in seeking ways to streamline processes and enhance the reliability of testing operations.
As a Fabrication Technician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for providing technician support for ground support equipment. This includes building, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves, and plumbing systems related to liquid oxygen and fuel pads. You will operate and maintain high-pressure systems and ancillary equipment, ensuring they function correctly and safely. Your role will involve fabricating and repairing ground support equipment hardware, collaborating closely with design engineers to ensure all activities are well-documented. You will also be tasked with obtaining and maintaining any necessary licenses or certifications required for your role. Following SpaceX's quality and safety policies will be essential as you contribute to engine testing and structural test stand programs.
