Who you are

You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience includes working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and various cooling systems, ensuring that mission-critical facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of maintaining high uptime in data centers and are committed to delivering exceptional results.

You have a proactive approach to problem-solving — when faced with challenges, you analyze situations thoroughly and implement effective solutions. Your technical expertise allows you to work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers and specialists, contributing to the overall success of the data center operations. You are detail-oriented and take pride in your ability to maintain and operate critical infrastructure.

Desirable

Experience with AWS infrastructure services is a plus, as it aligns with the company's commitment to keeping the cloud running. What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. Your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities, ensuring that all systems, including diesel generators and electrical systems, function optimally. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve issues that may arise, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime.

You will be responsible for conducting regular maintenance checks on various systems, including UPSs, PDUs, and cooling equipment. Your hands-on experience will be crucial in diagnosing problems and implementing solutions quickly to minimize downtime. You will also assist in the installation and configuration of new equipment, ensuring that all systems are integrated seamlessly into our existing infrastructure.

Collaboration is key in this role — you will work alongside a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance operational efficiency. You will participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and contribute your insights to improve processes and workflows.
