Datadog is hiring an Enterprise Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise during sales presentations and product demonstrations. You'll work closely with the Sales team and engage with customers to articulate Datadog's value proposition. This role requires strong communication skills and technical knowledge.
You have a strong background in sales engineering, with experience in providing technical expertise during sales presentations and product demonstrations. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively is one of your key strengths. You are passionate about educating customers on observability risks that are meaningful to their business, and you can build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer. You possess strong written and oral communication skills, enabling you to articulate both the technical and business value of products.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with sales teams to qualify and close opportunities. Your technical skills and credibility allow you to technically close complex opportunities, and you are proactive in engaging with customers to address any issues or concerns. You understand the importance of maintaining accurate notes and feedback in CRM systems regarding customer input, both wins and losses.
Experience with observability tools and platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with the competitive landscape in the industry. You are someone who can provide valuable feedback to product teams based on customer interactions and insights. Your ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with both customers and internal teams is essential for success in this role.
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers. You will own the technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, ensuring they understand the value of Datadog's offerings.
