Amazon is hiring a Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to support the production of low Earth orbit satellites. You'll be responsible for assembling and testing avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies. This role requires attention to detail and experience in manufacturing processes.
You are a detail-oriented technician with experience in manufacturing assembly, particularly in electrical and mechanical systems. You thrive in a hands-on environment and are motivated by the challenge of building innovative solutions from the ground up. You understand the importance of safety and quality in production processes and are committed to maintaining high standards in your work. You have a background in assembling complex systems, including avionic LRUs and PCBAs, and are comfortable handling fiber optics. Your ability to identify process improvements and maintain equipment ensures that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Experience with satellite technology or similar high-tech manufacturing environments is a plus. Familiarity with preventative maintenance activities and calibration of lab equipment will help you excel in this role.
In this role, you will champion safety requirements across all designated zones and work locations, ensuring that all team members adhere to best practices. You will assemble and test a variety of avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies, with a strong emphasis on detail and quality. Your responsibilities will also include handling and installing fiber optics and PCBAs, ensuring that all components meet stringent quality standards. You will maintain and calibrate lab equipment, supporting preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems. Additionally, you will identify equipment requirements and process improvements, maintaining floor stock inventory to ensure that production is never hindered by a lack of necessary materials.
