Overview

Relativity is seeking a Thermal Engineer II to contribute to the development of the Terran R rocket. You'll work on ensuring system performance and reliability across the launch system. This role requires a strong background in thermal engineering principles.

Who you are

You have a solid foundation in thermal engineering principles and practices, with experience in analyzing and solving complex thermal problems. Your background includes working on aerospace or similar industries, where you've contributed to the design and optimization of thermal systems. You understand the importance of collaboration and communication, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the Terran R vehicle. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to assess system performance and reliability effectively. You are eager to take ownership of your work and contribute to innovative solutions that push the boundaries of aerospace technology.

Desirable

Experience with thermal analysis software and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with rocket propulsion systems. A background in materials science or fluid dynamics can also enhance your contributions to the team. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can improve thermal performance in aerospace applications.

What you'll do

As a Thermal Engineer II at Relativity, you will be responsible for analyzing thermal performance across the Terran R vehicle and its associated systems. You will collaborate with the Integrated Performance team to ensure that every system is capable of achieving ambitious objectives. Your role will involve conducting thermal simulations, performing reliability analyses, and providing recommendations for design improvements. You will also participate in testing and validation processes to ensure that thermal systems meet performance requirements. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Terran R rocket, as you help shape the future of space exploration and innovation.
