Amazon is hiring a Senior Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, and operational objectives at their Fulfillment Center. You'll lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, focusing on safety, quality, and performance. This role requires strong leadership and operational management skills.

You have extensive experience in operations management, ideally within a fulfillment or logistics environment. Your leadership skills shine as you manage and develop a team of Operations and Area Managers, ensuring they meet performance objectives while fostering a positive work culture. You understand the importance of safety, quality, and customer experience in operational success, and you are committed to driving continuous improvement initiatives. You are adept at building relationships across departments, collaborating with HR, Finance, and IT to secure resources for your team and projects. You are proactive in sharing best practices and leveraging ideas from your team to enhance operational efficiency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about mentoring others to achieve their full potential.

Desirable

Experience with Lean initiatives and process improvement methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with budget management and performance metrics will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable using data to inform decisions and drive operational excellence.

What you'll do

As a Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, setting clear expectations and measuring performance to ensure operational goals are met. Your role will involve driving quality initiatives and process changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within your functional area. You will take the lead in creating a culture of safety and quality, ensuring that all team members understand their roles in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will collaborate closely with support staff to build and secure the necessary resources for your initiatives, while also providing support for other staff projects. Your leadership will be crucial in developing the next generation of leaders within the Fulfillment Center, as you coach and mentor your team to foster their growth and success.
