Amazon is hiring an Automation Engineer to optimize automated systems and ensure efficient operations. You'll work with control systems and sensors, utilizing skills in AWS, Python, and SQL. This role requires a strong background in automation and troubleshooting.
You have a solid background in automation engineering, with experience in monitoring and troubleshooting automated systems. You are skilled in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, and you understand the importance of maintaining accurate documentation and backup libraries. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. Your technical expertise includes working with control systems and sensors, and you are comfortable using data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and committed to maximizing the availability of equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and familiarity with IEC 61131-3 standards would be advantageous. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and contribute to the team's success.
As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for ensuring that automated systems are functioning optimally. You will monitor key systems, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment as needed. Collaborating with the EU Controls network, you will analyze MHE metrics and provide data visualizations to internal stakeholders. You will take ownership of continuous improvement projects, working closely with different departments to ensure that all systems are well-documented and that accurate backup libraries are maintained. You will also support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, working with global colleagues to share best practices and solutions.
