Esri is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic IT projects within their Information Systems and Technology team. You'll coordinate cross-team efforts and manage project timelines and risks. This role requires strong communication and project management skills.
You have a proven track record of leading IT projects, with at least 5 years of experience in project management. You excel in coordinating cross-divisional teams and have a deep understanding of project management methodologies. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are adept at developing project work plans and driving accountability within your team. You thrive in environments where you can identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project success through proactive management.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with IT and enterprise project management will help you navigate the complexities of the role. You are comfortable working with technical teams and can translate technical requirements into actionable project plans. A background in strategic IT initiatives will give you an edge in understanding Esri's goals and aligning projects accordingly.
In this role, you will lead cross-divisional project teams to successfully deliver Esri’s strategic IT projects. You will facilitate the clear definition of project scope, deliverables, milestones, and completion criteria to enable project success. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing project work plans, schedules, release plans, communication plans, and more. You will coordinate internal and external project resources, including vendors, to support project activities and deadlines. Continuously monitoring project health will be crucial, as you will need to communicate project status updates to stakeholders clearly.
You will guide project teams in identifying and mitigating risks to project success, leading teams in course correcting and resolving project issues as they arise. Acting as a trusted intermediary, you will facilitate discussions with sponsors, key stakeholders, subject matter experts, management, and project team members. Your contributions will help improve the continuous improvement of the IST Project Management processes, ensuring that best practices are followed and lessons learned are documented for future projects.
