What you'll do

As an Institutional Trader at Optiver, you will be instrumental in executing large-order trading strategies while managing relationships with brokers and direct counterparties. You will identify and capitalize on market opportunities, both independently and as part of a trading team. Your role will involve making split-second trading decisions that can instantly impact profitability, requiring you to stay alert and responsive to market changes. You will work closely with Screen Traders to ensure that your decisions are well-informed and strategically sound. Additionally, you will represent Optiver’s quotes and execute orders with some of the world’s largest trading desks via phone, IM, and Bloomberg. Negotiating prices with brokers and other relevant parties will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will improving execution and access to volume. You will also contribute to enhancing systems and tools to capture data effectively, ensuring that your trading strategies are data-driven and efficient.
