Overview

MongoDB is seeking an Account Executive, Acquisition to drive new business acquisition within an assigned territory. This role focuses on formulating and executing a sales strategy to meet customer acquisition targets.

Who you are

You are a driven individual with at least 4 years of field experience in sales, particularly in acquiring new business. Your energy and passion for sales are evident, and you thrive in a competitive environment where you can make a significant impact. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage effectively with engineers, developers, IT leaders, and CTOs. You are comfortable working in a hybrid model, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work.

Desirable

Experience in the technology sector is a plus, as it equips you with the knowledge to understand the products and services you will be selling. Familiarity with sales enablement tools and methodologies will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. You are open to feedback and eager to learn from experienced sales leaders, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop a robust sales pipeline. Your primary focus will be on closing business to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual new business targets. You will strategically engage with potential clients, including engineers, developers, and IT leaders, to understand their needs and position MongoDB's solutions effectively. Participation in comprehensive sales training programs, including a Sales Bootcamp, will be part of your journey to success. You will collaborate closely with the Professional Services team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention, leveraging their expertise to enhance your sales approach.
