What you'll do

In this role, you will lead Rover's government affairs strategy, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including local, state, and federal policymakers. You will engage in advocacy efforts that promote Rover's mission and address regulatory challenges facing the pet care industry. Collaborating with the Legal team, you will ensure that all advocacy initiatives align with Rover's compliance requirements and strategic goals.

You will monitor legislative developments and analyze their potential impact on Rover and its community. This includes preparing position papers, testimony, and other materials that articulate Rover's stance on relevant issues. You will represent Rover at industry events, conferences, and meetings with government officials, effectively communicating the company's values and objectives.

Your role will also involve developing and implementing grassroots campaigns to mobilize Rover's community in support of key initiatives. You will work closely with marketing and communications teams to create messaging that resonates with pet lovers and encourages them to engage in advocacy efforts. By fostering a culture of advocacy within Rover, you will empower employees to participate in initiatives that align with the company's mission.
