Overview

You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes — you've worked on large-scale projects and understand the intricacies of designing for manufacturability. Your expertise in tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks allows you to create detailed designs and specifications that meet rigorous standards. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with technicians and production teams to ensure that your designs are not only innovative but also practical and efficient. You are detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to quality, always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes. You are comfortable taking on leadership responsibilities, guiding technicians and skilled labor partners in the execution of your designs. You are passionate about aerospace and the mission of enabling human life on Mars, and you are excited to contribute to groundbreaking projects that redefine the future of space exploration.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the design and integration of the Starship launch mount and catch tower.
