Job Description

The Amazon Japan Paid Services Tech team is seeking a talented, passionate software development engineer to create feature innovations to innovate towards best-in-class selling partner experience. The JP Paid Services Tech team is part of the greater Japan Store Tech, a global software development group.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer, you will help solve a variety of technical challenges and work with a team of extremely talented engineers. Given that we explore new and exciting areas, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept. You will help invent new features, design systems, develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of our initiatives, you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that, frankly, haven’t been solved at scale before. Along the way, we guarantee that you’ll learn a ton, have fun and make a positive impact on millions of customers.- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Business level English language skills- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
