GenScript is seeking a Procurement Intern for 2026 to support daily procurement operations and vendor management. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates looking to gain experience in procurement processes.
You are an entry-level candidate eager to learn about procurement operations in a global biotechnology company. You have a keen interest in supporting daily procurement tasks and vendor management, and you are ready to assist in monitoring purchase requests and preparing RFQs to vendors. You are detail-oriented and organized, capable of maintaining procurement documentation effectively.
You are comfortable using software tools like SAP and are willing to learn how to generate and follow up on purchase orders. Your communication skills will help you maintain vendor relationships and track order fulfillment and delivery.
While not required, any prior experience or coursework related to procurement or supply chain management would be beneficial. Familiarity with vendor management processes or contract negotiations would also be a plus.
In this role, you will support daily procurement operations by assisting in monitoring purchase requests and preparing RFQs to vendors. You will help generate and follow up on purchase orders through SAP, ensuring that all procurement documentation, including contracts and supplier records, is well-maintained and organized. You will also assist in creating new vendor accounts in SAP and help maintain communication with vendors for order fulfillment and delivery tracking.
Additionally, you will support contract and supplier negotiations, gaining valuable experience in the procurement process. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, allowing you to develop your skills in procurement and vendor management.
