MongoDB is seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to support U.S. payroll operations and ensure compliance and accuracy. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with knowledge of payroll regulations and processes.
You are a knowledgeable and detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll operations, particularly in the U.S. context. You understand the importance of payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, treating these as essential operational requirements. You have a hands-on approach and are comfortable managing complex payroll transactions, including bonuses and off-cycle payments. You are adept at reviewing payroll outputs to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. Your strong communication skills enable you to serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from various stakeholders, including HR and Finance.
Experience with payroll processing across multiple regions, particularly in the Americas, would be a plus. Familiarity with payroll software and tools that enhance efficiency in payroll operations is also desirable. You are proactive in seeking solutions and improvements in payroll processes, ensuring that the team operates smoothly and effectively.
In this role, you will support end-to-end U.S. payroll processing with minimal supervision, ensuring that payrolls are accurate and compliant with current regulations. You will review payroll outputs to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and resolve issues prior to final approval. Your working knowledge of U.S. Federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations will be crucial in ensuring accurate employee setup, calculations, and reporting. You will manage complex payroll transactions, including bonuses, retro adjustments, and payroll corrections, while administering and auditing payroll deductions such as pre-tax benefits and retirement plans. Additionally, you will serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, collaborating closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and external vendors to resolve issues and enhance payroll operations.
