SpaceX is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Starlink Production team to design custom tooling and machinery for high-volume satellite production. You'll leverage your mechanical engineering expertise to drive projects from concept to completion in Redmond, WA.
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and developing structures, mechanisms, and automation equipment. You demonstrate extreme ownership of projects, managing them from initial concept through fabrication and production bring-up. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing multiple projects of varying scope and complexity. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex, open-ended challenges with a focus on speed of execution and impact.
Experience with high-volume production processes and custom tooling design is a plus. Familiarity with satellite technology and production methodologies will enhance your contributions to the team.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for designing the factory of the future, enabling mass production of satellites and high-performance space hardware.
