SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Satellite Payload team to solve complex structural, thermal, and electromechanical problems for satellite hardware. You'll work with AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design and test innovative solutions in Redmond.
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and testing complex systems. You are skilled in using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and you understand the intricacies of structural, thermal, and electromechanical challenges. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative satellite solutions to life. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for aerospace technology, particularly in the context of satellite systems. You are eager to take ownership of the design lifecycle, from ideation through to manufacturing and production.
Experience with satellite systems or aerospace engineering is a plus. Familiarity with the full design lifecycle and an understanding of space-grade hardware will set you apart. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies as you contribute to the mission of providing broadband-quality internet globally.
