Amazon is seeking a Senior PR Manager for Worldwide Sustainability to develop and execute multi-channel campaigns. You'll collaborate with various teams to align communications strategies and manage media relations. This role requires 7+ years of professional communications or public relations experience.
You have over 7 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience, demonstrating your ability to handle complex tasks with little guidance. Your background includes managing confidential information and maintaining professionalism when dealing with senior executives. You are adept at anticipating media coverage and responding to inquiries effectively, showcasing your proactive approach to media relations.
You possess a Bachelor's degree and have a strong understanding of multi-channel campaigns across traditional and non-traditional press, digital, social, and owned channels. Your experience includes developing compelling visuals and assets that enhance communication strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate messaging and amplify company storytelling.
In this role, you will develop and execute multi-channel campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. You will partner closely with business leadership to align communications strategies with business activities, ensuring that messaging is consistent and impactful. Your collaboration with Executive Communications, Field Comms, Operations Internal Comms, Industry Relations, and Public Policy will be crucial in integrating messaging across various platforms.
You will manage proactive and reactive media relations, anticipating coverage and responding to media inquiries regarding data center impacts on community water sources. Your ability to source inputs for external communication materials will be essential, as you will develop key messaging and manage the routing through internal channels for necessary approvals.
Additionally, you will oversee external PR agencies, monitoring and reporting on guidelines, coverage reports, and end-of-campaign metrics. Developing briefing documents for internal spokespeople at all levels for external-facing engagements will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the narrative around Amazon's sustainability efforts, particularly in the context of water and AWS initiatives.
