You have over 10 years of experience in DevOps and security engineering, with a strong focus on designing and implementing secure cloud architectures. Your expertise in AWS and cloud security principles allows you to create robust solutions that protect sensitive data and applications. You are proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, enabling you to build scalable and efficient systems.

Your programming skills in Python and scripting languages empower you to automate processes and enhance operational efficiency. You have a deep understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, ensuring smooth deployment pipelines and rapid delivery of features. Your experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible allows you to manage complex environments effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and architecture of Zscaler's cloud-native security platform, ensuring it meets the highest security standards. You will collaborate with software engineers and security experts to implement best practices in DevSecOps, integrating security into the development lifecycle from the outset.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that facilitate rapid and secure deployments. Your expertise in containerization and orchestration will be crucial in optimizing application performance and scalability. You will also implement infrastructure as code practices to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources.

As a Principal DevSecOps Engineer, you will mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of security and operational excellence within the team. You will conduct security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing remediation strategies to mitigate risks.

You will work closely with product teams to ensure that security considerations are integrated into product design and development. Your role will involve staying abreast of emerging threats and vulnerabilities, adapting security measures accordingly to protect Zscaler's assets and customers.
