Our Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced and collaborative Engineering Manager to lead our 'Engine' team of 8 Software Engineers in Lisbon. This role involves leading the team scaling our next-gen DAST solution - Snyk API & Web - built for the future of AI-powered software development.

You’ll Spend Your Time:

You’ll be accountable for co-developing the team roadmap and supporting technical direction.
Ensuring new team members are onboarded, effectively contributing to the expected level and supporting existing team members to do their best work.
Coaching direct reports through productive feedback, building on strengths and addressing areas of development.
Helping the team learn, adapt and improve upon agile and lean methodologies. You’ll help the team understand and maintain a balance between delivery speed and product quality.
You’ll be responsible for the team’s on-call process and rota, and be a point of escalation for incidents.
You’ll be a key part of applying our Product Led Growth practices to identify, measure and constantly improve our platform through experimentation.
Partaking in hands-on coding as needed, including code reviews.

What You’ll Need:

Strong leadership and team management skills.
To excel in cross-functional collaboration and communication.
Possess a solid understanding of system architecture and design.
Demonstrate problem-solving abilities in complex technical environments.
A track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
A Software Engineering background, with Java, TypeScript or Python programming skills.
