Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Your expertise in Python allows you to implement sophisticated algorithms and transform them into high-performance production-level code. You understand the importance of system health and scalability, and you have experience with monitoring and logging to ensure robust machine learning systems.

You are familiar with DevOps practices and tools, enabling you to integrate machine learning workflows into CI/CD pipelines effectively. Your experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, equips you to leverage cloud resources for model training and deployment. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams to drive impactful business decisions through data-driven insights.

Desirable

Experience with MLOps practices and tools is a plus, as it enhances your ability to manage the lifecycle of machine learning models. Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools will help you in building efficient data pipelines that feed into your models. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can improve the performance and reliability of machine learning systems.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that enhance Earnin's financial products. You will work on transforming ML models into production-ready code, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the performance of these models and implementing logging and alerting systems to track their health.

You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to identify opportunities for leveraging machine learning in business decisions and customer experiences. Your role will involve conducting experiments to validate model performance and iterating on your designs based on feedback and results.

You will also be expected to contribute to the development of best practices for machine learning engineering within the team, sharing your knowledge and expertise with junior engineers. Your insights will help shape the future of Earnin's machine learning initiatives, driving innovation and improving user experiences.
