Serverfarm is seeking a Junior Commissioning Engineer to implement commissioning strategies for data center operations. This role involves quality assurance and collaboration with development teams. Ideal candidates will be comfortable with travel and have a passion for digital infrastructure.
You are a recent graduate or have some experience in engineering, eager to start your career in the data center industry. You possess a foundational understanding of commissioning processes and are keen to learn about the operational standards that drive quality in critical infrastructure systems. You are comfortable with travel, as this role requires visiting data center locations approximately 50% of the time, particularly in Houston, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia. You are a proactive communicator, able to work collaboratively with various teams, including development and operations, to ensure that all commissioning activities meet the required standards. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality documentation and processes.
In this role, you will assist in the execution of L4-L5 commissioning activities, playing a crucial part in the implementation of Serverfarm's commissioning strategy. You will work closely with development teams to validate new equipment and suppliers, ensuring that all systems meet the necessary performance standards. Your responsibilities will include recommending and enforcing testing standards for critical infrastructure systems, which are essential for maintaining quality assurance and quality control. You will also help identify training requirements for new equipment and updated sequences of operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
