You have a minimum of 2 years of full sales cycle experience, from prospecting to closing deals — you've successfully navigated the complexities of selling technical products and understand the nuances of customer engagement. Your curiosity and drive motivate you as a sales professional, and you thrive on the challenge of acquiring new customers. You are creative in how you map and break into accounts, always looking for innovative ways to connect with potential clients. Feedback is important to you, and you embrace a growth mindset, learning from each interaction to improve your approach.

Desirable

Experience in a hybrid workplace is a plus, as you understand the importance of collaboration and relationship-building in a sales environment. Familiarity with Datadog's products or similar technical solutions will give you an edge in conveying value to customers.

What you'll do

As a Commercial Account Executive at Datadog, you will focus on net-new logo acquisition through outbound pipeline generation activities — your role is pivotal in driving the company's growth in the SMB market. You will become a Datadog expert through ongoing product and sales training, ensuring you can effectively communicate the value of our solutions to potential clients. Managing the full sales cycle, you will conduct technical demonstrations and negotiate contracts, working closely with Sales Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel activity. You will strategically prospect into key decision-makers, including Chief Technology Officers and Engineering/IT Leaders, ensuring that you understand their unique needs and how Datadog can meet them.
