Who you are

You have a strong background in account management, particularly within the energy sector, and possess a proven track record of shaping and winning large-scale strategic opportunities. Your experience includes developing and implementing comprehensive account strategies that drive growth and maximize revenue opportunities. You are passionate about client engagement and have a collaborative spirit, working effectively with other Global Account Managers and AWS resources to align strategies with client needs.

You demonstrate strong leadership presence and can build sound relationships across accounts, articulating a clear vision and long-term strategic plan. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to write executive briefing documents and engage with senior executives comfortably. You thrive in environments that require strategic thinking and the ability to drive business transformation through innovative solutions.

Desirable

Experience in digital transformation initiatives, particularly with cloud technologies and AI, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the energy sector's unique challenges and opportunities will set you apart. You are comfortable navigating complex organizational structures and can influence stakeholders at all levels.

What you'll do

As a Global Account Manager for the Energy sector at Amazon Web Services, you will be responsible for managing the global customer and partner relationship with a strategic energy customer in EMEA. Your primary focus will be on developing and managing specific business segments within the customer account, driving business growth, and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will partner with your customer to build strategic relationships and articulate a clear vision that generates measurable business value.

You will work closely with other Global Account Managers and AWS resources, including Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, and Professional Services, to execute strategies that align with the client’s needs and business objectives. Your role will involve driving strategic pipeline creation and conversion of large-scale transformation programs to achieve the best results for customers.

You will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within the account and developing strategies to capitalize on them. This includes conducting market research, understanding industry trends, and leveraging AWS solutions to meet customer needs. You will regularly communicate with senior executives, providing updates on account performance and strategic initiatives.
