Desirable

Experience with fleet maintenance and a strong understanding of diesel engines and systems is a plus. ASE certification is desirable, and you are willing to pursue further certifications to enhance your skills. You have a proactive approach to maintenance and are familiar with the latest tools and technologies in the industry.

What you'll do

As a Diesel Technician at Carvana, you will be a key part of the Fleet Maintenance team, ensuring that our Class 8 fleet is safe and reliable. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on day cabs and trailers, focusing on preventative measures to minimize downtime. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting inspections, and performing necessary repairs to keep our fleet operating efficiently. You will work closely with other technicians and team members to maintain a high standard of service and ensure that all vehicles meet safety regulations.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in internal training programs, including classroom time for DTNA ARC Certification. Your role will involve using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions. You will be responsible for keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
