Patreon is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support their mission of empowering creators. You'll conduct quantitative research, design metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance membership monetization. This role requires expertise in SQL and Python, along with a strong background in data analysis and machine learning.
You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, translating complex data into actionable insights. You are skilled in data visualization, enabling you to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive product strategy and improvements. Your experience includes designing experiments and metrics to track performance and inform decision-making. You are passionate about using data to empower creators and enhance user experiences.
Experience in the media or community platform space is a plus, as is familiarity with data engineering practices. Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experience with machine learning frameworks will set you apart. You are comfortable presenting your findings to executive leadership and can articulate complex concepts in an accessible manner.
In this role, you will work closely with product teams to build features that enhance creator monetization. You will conduct quantitative research to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, leveraging your analytical skills to inform product strategy. You will design and implement metrics to track key performance indicators, ensuring that the team can measure success effectively. Collaborating with machine learning and data engineering teams, you will help build user-facing data products that provide valuable insights to creators. Your role will involve translating data findings into actionable recommendations, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization. You will also be responsible for conducting experiments to test hypotheses and validate product features, ensuring that decisions are backed by solid data.
