Who you are

You are a motivated individual with a strong commitment to succeed in a sales environment — you thrive on identifying and closing new business opportunities, particularly within the small business sector. Your consultative selling skills allow you to effectively engage with potential clients, understanding their needs and positioning solutions that drive growth. You have a desire to grow in your SaaS sales career, demonstrating a proactive approach to prospecting and lead qualification.

You possess strong prospecting skills, enabling you to manage a pipeline primarily composed of outbound prospects — you are comfortable running multiple meetings each day and guiding prospects through the sales cycle. Your ability to dissect and qualify business goals ensures that you can determine how HubSpot can be a strategic investment for potential clients. You are results-driven, aiming to close net new business at or above quota levels.

Desirable

Experience in a sales role, particularly in SaaS or technology, is a plus — familiarity with HubSpot's software and its value proposition will enhance your effectiveness in this position. A background in consultative selling or account management will also be beneficial as you navigate the sales process and build relationships with small business owners.

What you'll do

As an Account Executive at HubSpot, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and closing new business opportunities within the small business space — your role will involve managing a pipeline of primarily outbound prospects, with a focus on qualifying inbound leads as well. You will be expected to run 3-5 meetings per day with prospective customers, guiding them through the sales process from discovery calls to closing deals.

You will educate and guide prospects through the customer journey, helping them understand how HubSpot's software can grow their business in both the short and long term. Your consultative approach will allow you to uncover pain points and challenges faced by potential clients, positioning HubSpot as a valuable partner in their growth journey. You will collaborate with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategies effectively, ensuring that you are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Your success will be measured by your ability to close net new business at or above quota levels — you will be expected to manage your pipeline efficiently, engaging and developing relationships with potential buyers.
