Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the Supply Chain, Platforms, and Devices team. You'll coordinate cross-functional initiatives and manage project schedules. This role requires 5+ years of experience in program or project management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program or project management. Your background includes coordinating cross-functional initiatives or process development within a supply chain, operations, or engineering organization. You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, particularly in the consumer hardware industry. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved.

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring you to coordinate the players and keep them updated on progress and deadlines. You are adept at building trusted relationships with program stakeholders, managing their expectations, and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.

Desirable

Experience in the consumer hardware industry is preferred, as it will enhance your ability to navigate the complexities of product development in this space. You are comfortable with change management requirements that are necessary for program stakeholders, and you anticipate these needs proactively. Your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships will be key to your success in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead complex projects that require a deep understanding of supply chain processes and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for defining project objectives, collecting data required to govern programs, and driving stakeholder decision-making. You will coordinate with various teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are aligned and that timelines are met. Your role will involve regular communication with senior cross-functional leads, providing them with updates and insights that facilitate effective decision-making. You will also be tasked with anticipating potential challenges and developing strategies to mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with the Devices & Services team, which combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. Your projects will contribute to the development of new technologies and hardware that enhance user interaction with computing. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the team meets its objectives and delivers high-quality products that align with Google's mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that have a significant impact on the way users interact with technology. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. You will be supported in your professional development and have access to resources that help you grow in your career. Join us in making a difference in the world through technology.
