Databricks is hiring a Staff People Partner to support the Engineering team by managing talent strategy and people programs. You'll work closely with leaders on performance management, career development, and organizational design. This role requires strong advisory skills and experience in people operations.
You have a strong background in people operations, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a tech environment. You understand the nuances of talent strategy and are skilled in performance management, employee relations, and organizational design. You are a trusted advisor who can effectively partner with leaders to drive people programs that align with business goals. Your analytical mindset allows you to use data and insights to inform decisions and improve organizational health. You are passionate about fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and are committed to promoting the company's values and principles.
Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment is a plus, as is familiarity with change management and leadership coaching. You are comfortable navigating complex employee relations issues and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to facilitate discussions between various teams and ensure alignment on people initiatives.
In this role, you will manage core people programs for the Engineering team, focusing on talent and performance management, compensation, and development programs. You will partner with leaders to design and implement strategies that support a scalable and progressive organization. Your role will involve using data to inform talent and organizational strategies, ensuring that the Engineering team is equipped to meet its business goals. You will collaborate with the Employee Relations team to address issues such as investigations and performance management, ensuring a fair and supportive work environment.
You will promote effective communication between the Engineering team and other People and G&A functions, bringing insights back to central teams to enhance programs and policies. Additionally, you will enable thoughtful learning programs and trainings that contribute to the overall health of the organization. Your impact will be felt across the company as you help shape a performance-based work environment that values diversity and inclusion.
