Amazon is seeking a Senior Product Manager for their Payments team in Tokyo to lead the Payment Acceptance and Experience strategy. You'll drive data-driven decision making and manage the product lifecycle for payment solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in product management.
You have over 5 years of experience in product management, particularly in the payments or financial technology sector — you understand the nuances of payment systems and have a proven track record of delivering successful products that enhance customer experience. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to derive insights from data and customer feedback to inform product decisions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including tech, marketing, and UX to align on product vision and strategy. You are resourceful and innovative, always looking for new solutions to complex problems that can improve the payment experience for millions of users. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate product priorities and strategies to a diverse set of stakeholders effectively.
Experience in the Japanese market or with Japanese customers is a plus, as it will help you better understand local payment preferences and behaviors. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools will also be beneficial in managing the product lifecycle efficiently.
In this role, you will create and own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for payment products that serve millions of customers in Japan. You will drive data-driven decision making through thorough analysis of customer behavior, market trends, and business metrics to ensure that the products you develop meet the needs of users. You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of existing payment methods while identifying and launching new payment solutions that enhance the overall customer experience. Your responsibilities will include aligning with multiple stakeholders across tech, marketing, UX, finance, and legal to ensure that all aspects of the product are well-coordinated and executed. You will also be responsible for communicating product priorities clearly and managing the dynamic roadmap to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
