Meta is seeking a NPI Material Program Manager to oversee material strategy and readiness for Reality Labs products. You'll manage material budgets and drive pre-production planning in Sunnyvale, CA.
You have a strong background in materials management and program management, ideally with experience in new product introduction (NPI) processes. Your expertise includes managing budgets and ensuring material readiness throughout the product lifecycle. You are skilled in forecasting and supply chain management, enabling you to effectively support new product development initiatives. You thrive in collaborative environments and can lead cross-functional teams to achieve material readiness goals.
Experience in the technology or consumer electronics industry is a plus, as is familiarity with the specific challenges of managing materials for innovative products. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and can mitigate material excess and obsolescence (E&O) effectively. Your communication skills allow you to articulate material strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
In this role, you will lead the material planning and readiness efforts for new products at Meta Reality Labs. You will be responsible for managing the material budget, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for pre-production phases. Your role will involve close collaboration with engineering and supply chain teams to forecast material needs and drive supply readiness. You will also work to identify and mitigate risks related to material availability and excess, ensuring a smooth transition from proof of concept (POC) through design validation testing (DVT).
You will play a critical role in the NPI process, coordinating with various teams to align material strategies with product timelines. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be essential as you navigate the complexities of new product launches. You will also be expected to provide regular updates to leadership on material readiness and budget status, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
