Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced, motivated communications professional to drive product PR for its low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network, Project Kuiper. This is a unique opportunity to shape the communications program for one of Amazon’s most ambitious new initiatives, and to have a positive, lasting impact on customers and communities around the world.

As a Product PR Manager for Project Kuiper, you will help define and execute the communications strategy for our core product and service portfolio. You will be responsible for driving awareness, interest and adoption among end customers; supporting go-to-market (GTM) plans for our initial product and service offering; and leading proactive product and customer storytelling across all channels. You’ll be expected to develop messaging, execute successful campaigns and milestones, build and sustain strong media relationships, and scale programs to reach a global, diverse audience.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with business, product, sales, and marketing teams to drive the overall GTM process. As a key advisor to the business, you must demonstrate excellent judgment, earn trust with stakeholders, and be willing to dive deep into complex topics. You must also be able to clearly articulate ideas in both written and verbal communications, anticipate potential issues and headwinds for the business, find ways to simplify and streamline work, and effectively advocate for decisions that protect the long-term interests of Amazon and its customers.

Along the way, you will have a chance to define the long-term vision for this exciting new business, and to help Project Kuiper deliver on its mission to connect tens of millions of residential, enterprise, and government customers around the world.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end communications for core products and services, including announcements, launches, and product reviews
- Drive proactive, cross-channel storytelling to build awareness and interest among end customers
- Partner with global teams to define and scale product comms programs in new regions
- Manage engagement with key media, analysts, and influencers
- Drive customer and community impact campaigns
- Anticipate and mitigate issues, and counsel leadership on both short- and long-term challenges and opportunities- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field- Experience with end-to-end product communications (announcements, launches, reviews, etc.)
- Experience with consumer and/or enterprise technology
- Familiarity with telecommunications, space and/or satellite industry

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
